REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE
The Fitjet tube is designed with very resistant materials in order to increase its working life. The principal parts of the nozzle (injector base and seat) are made out of carbide and stainless and allow a use of several years without wear or corrosion. For this reason it could be necessary to make very simple interventions of maintenance such as the change of the seals. If the use of the Fitjet nozzle is correct, these little maintenances will be not very frequent (annual maximum, even much less).
All the parts of the nozzle are sold in spare parts. For example the body, which of normal use does not wear out, can be subjected to shocks very violent (fall of several meters, crushing…). It could be changed very easily then. The majority of the maintenance actions require any specific tool (just adjustable pliers). The other maintenance actions, also far from frequent, will require simply a hexagonal key of 2 mm (change piston seal) or a circlip plier (roller change).
